Indoor Garden Initiative

Grow Your Own, Wherever You Are

No garden? No problem. We believe everyone deserves the joy of growing their own food. Our Indoor Garden Initiative helps you create a thriving, self-sufficient garden right on your windowsill, balcony, or kitchen counter.

Tips for Indoor Growing Success

Find the Light

Most herbs and veggies need 6+ hours of light. South-facing windowsills are ideal, or consider a simple grow light.

Water Wisely

Check soil moisture before watering. Most indoor plants prefer to dry out slightly between waterings.

Start Simple

Begin with easy growers like basil, mint, spring onions, or lettuce. They're forgiving and quick to harvest.

Use What You Have

Old containers, yoghurt pots, and egg cartons make great starter pots. Just add drainage holes.

Free Plants & Seeds to Get You Started

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to start growing. Visit us at the garden or get in touch to take advantage of these free offerings for Stockton-on-Tees residents.
